How Crivando compares to every other wedding website builder
Ten head-to-head comparisons, each one Crivando against a single competitor, on the things that actually decide it: what the cash-gift fee is and who pays it, what a custom domain costs on top, what happens to your guest list, and who is selling things to your guests. Five of these competitors are free and we're not, so every page below starts by saying where they beat us before it says anything else.

The short version
Crivando is €9 to €23 a month, hosted in the EU under GDPR, takes 0% on cash gifts, and sells your guests nothing. Most competitors here are free and fund themselves through registry commissions and vendor marketing. Whether that trade is worth paying to avoid is genuinely your call, and each comparison below argues both sides.

How we put these together
Every competitor figure comes from a page the company publishes itself, or from a comparison published by another platform in this category. Each is linked on the relevant page. Nothing is estimated and nothing is converted between currencies, because a converted price is a price nobody actually pays.
Crivando is our product, which you should factor in when reading any of this. What we can’t do is quietly rig a table, since you can click through to every source and check it. Where a competitor is better, it’s written down near the top of the page rather than buried, and on several of these pages the recommendation is to use them instead of us.
These platforms change pricing and ship features without telling us. Everything here was checked in August 2026. If you’re about to commit based on a number on one of these pages, spend thirty seconds verifying it at the source first.
Straight answers
How does Crivando compare to The Knot and Zola?
Both are free and both are built for US weddings, with registries tied to US retailers and vendor marketplaces to match. The Knot passes a 2.5% card fee on cash gifts to your guest; Zola charges 2.5% but lets you absorb it. Crivando is €9 to €23 a month, takes nothing on gifts, and hosts your guest list in the EU under GDPR.
Is Crivando cheaper than other wedding website builders?
Cheaper than the paid ones, more expensive than the free ones. Crivando is €9 to €23 a month against Riley & Grey at $39, Squarespace at $16 to $99 and Bliss & Bone at $15 to $21. But The Knot, Zola, Minted, Joy and WeddingWire are free, so on price alone they win.
Which wedding website builders charge fees on cash gifts?
The Knot charges 2.5% on card contributions and the guest pays it. Zola charges 2.5% but lets the couple absorb it. Riley & Grey charges 2.95%. Joy, Bliss & Bone and Crivando charge nothing. In Crivando's case that's because guests transfer directly to your bank and we never process the payment.
Which wedding website builder is best for European couples?
Crivando hosts in the EU under GDPR and prices in euros. Joy is the strongest free option for Europe and runs in German, Spanish, French, Italian and Japanese. WedSites bills in EUR and GBP. The Knot, Zola, Minted and WeddingWire are all US-centric products.
Does Crivando have a free plan?
No. Plans run from €9 a month for the base site to €23 a month with all eleven add-ons unlocked. If a free website is the requirement, Joy is the honest recommendation and each comparison page says so where it applies.
How do these comparisons stay accurate?
Every competitor claim links to a public source and carries the date it was last checked. Platforms change pricing and ship features without telling us, so treat anything older than a quarter as worth verifying yourself before you commit.
