Bliss & Bone alternative: Crivando vs Bliss & Bone
Bliss & Bone and Crivando sit at a similar price, $15 to $21 a month against €9 to €23, so anyone weighing a Bliss & Bone alternative is choosing on what you get, not what you pay. Bliss & Bone is design-led with matching digital invitations at $0.90 per recipient and a free cash registry. Crivando puts the money into guest tooling instead: photo collection, a moderated guestbook, dietary tracking, EU hosting. Here's the comparison.

The short version
Bliss & Bone is the design-led option at $15 or $21 a month, with RSVPs and password protection on every plan and a free cash registry. Invitations cost $0.90 per recipient on top. Crivando is similarly priced but spends it on guest photo collection, a guestbook, a DJ wishlist and EU hosting.
Why couples leave Bliss & Bone.
The per-recipient charge, first. Online invitations are $0.90 each. For 140 guests that's $126 on top of the subscription, which is easy to miss when comparing the $15 monthly figure against everyone else's. Monograms and logos start at $40 as well.
Then the registry. Bliss & Bone's cash registry is free, which beats The Knot, Zola and Riley & Grey all taking a percentage. But it's cash only: if your guests want to buy physical gifts from an actual shop, that has to live somewhere else entirely.
And the guest tooling stops at the essentials. RSVP collection and password protection are on every plan, which is more than WedSites or Zola manage, but there's no QR photo collection, no moderated guestbook and no DJ song wishlist.
Where Bliss & Bone beats us.
Design and digital invitations. Their sites look better than ours, and their online invitations match the website in a way we don't offer at all. We do websites, full stop. Their cash registry is free with no percentage taken, same as ours. And they give you a 7-day trial with no credit card required, which we don't: we have no free tier at all. If you want a design-led wedding site with matching invitations for $15 a month, that's a genuinely good deal.

What Crivando does differently
The things worth paying for, if you’re going to pay. If none of these matter to your wedding, Bliss & Bone is the sensible choice and we’d rather you made it.
Guest photos by QR code, with an approval queue
Print a card for the tables. Guests scan it and upload straight from their camera roll: no app, no account. Nothing appears on your site until you approve it, and you keep the original high-resolution files.
Learn moreA moderated digital guestbook
Guests write messages from their phone during the reception or the morning after, when they've actually got something to say. You approve each entry before it goes live, and you can export the lot afterwards.
Learn moreA DJ song wishlist
Guests submit the songs they want to hear. You get a clean list of titles and artists to hand to the DJ, instead of fourteen separate text messages on the morning of the wedding.
Learn moreRSVPs with meal and dietary tracking
Guests search their name and respond. You get attendance, menu selections and allergy requirements in one dashboard, plus a catering summary you can hand straight to the venue.
Learn moreHosted in the EU, under GDPR
Your guest list, their dietary requirements and their photos sit on EU infrastructure under European data protection rules, rather than on a US platform that also sells them things.
Learn morePIN-protected pages
Lock the whole site, or just the parts with your address and registry on them, behind a PIN you give to guests. Search engines don't index it and neither does anyone who wasn't invited.

There's no export button on Bliss & Bone, or on most platforms in this category, so this is a copy-paste job rather than a migration. Budget an evening, not a weekend.
Take the guest list out first: names, emails, and any RSVP responses already in. Then the text of each page: your story, the schedule, the FAQ answers you've already written. Those are the bits that took you the longest and they move across unchanged.
Build the new site, check it on a phone, and only then send the new link. Don't take the old site down the same day. Leave it up for a fortnight with a line at the top pointing at the new address, so anyone who bookmarked it isn't stranded.
Which one you should pick
You want digital invitations that match the website exactly, and the design is the thing you're paying for. Their 7-day no-card trial makes that cheap to find out.
You want guest photo collection with an approval queue, a moderated guestbook and a DJ wishlist, with no per-recipient charges and your data hosted in the EU.

How much does Bliss & Bone cost?
$15 a month for Standard or $21 a month for Premium. Online invitations are $0.90 per recipient on top, and monograms start at $40. There's a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. Crivando is €9 to €23 a month with no per-guest charges.
Does Bliss & Bone charge fees on cash gifts?
No, the cash registry is free, which beats The Knot and Zola at 2.5% and Riley & Grey at 2.95%. The limitation is that it's cash only, so physical gifts have to be registered somewhere else. Crivando also takes nothing, because guests transfer directly to your bank.
What does Crivando include that Bliss & Bone doesn't?
QR guest photo collection with an approval queue, a moderated digital guestbook, a DJ song wishlist, RSVP meal and dietary tracking with a catering summary, and GDPR-compliant EU hosting. What we don't have is matching digital invitations, which is their strongest feature.
Which is better for a European wedding?
Crivando hosts in the EU under GDPR and prices in euros, so there's no currency conversion on your subscription. Bliss & Bone is a US company. If EU data residency matters to you, that's the deciding difference; if design matters more, it isn't.
Does Crivando have a free plan?
No, there's no free tier. Plans run from €9 a month for the base site to €23 a month with all 11 add-ons unlocked, which is less than Bliss & Bone charges, but it isn't nothing.
How do I move my wedding website from Bliss & Bone?
Copy and paste, mostly, since there's no export button on Bliss & Bone. Take your guest list and RSVP responses out first, then the text of each page. Build the new site, check it on a phone, then send the new link and leave the old site up for a fortnight pointing at the new address.
Do I need a wedding website at all?
Not always. Thirty guests, one venue, everyone local: a group message does the job and a website is admin you invented for yourself. Websites start earning their place once guests are travelling, or when there are enough of them that you'd otherwise answer the same parking question forty times.
